Yes, I'm stealing from that ever-so-popular Facebook note that is all the rave right now. However, I haven't blogged all week, and I have a lot of random thoughts floating around in my head. Rather than try to reign them in, I figured I would do another list of random-goodness to catch up on my posting.
Enjoy!
1. I'm LOVING catching up with old friends on Facebook!
2. The fabrics for my new t-shirt line came in on Thursday. I can't wait to get started.
3. I can't decide where to go to church these days, and I haven't been in a while.
4. I organized my closet this morning - even down to color ordering my shirts.
5. My kids are my life, although I'm really struggling with my three year old lately.
6. Speaking of my three year old, she is a mini version of me, right down to the way she shifts her eyes and the tone of voice she uses. I'm in serious, serious trouble.
7. N's surgery last week didn't appear to work. The thought of having him put under again makes me wonder if it's really worth it for such a minor procedure.
8. The woman who just had the octuplets is insane and should have a psychological evaluation. No joking. I'm completely serious.
9. The name of my business is Bella Beebo. My daughter used to call her belly button a bee-bo. That's where it came from.
10. I am a completely different person than I was 10 years ago.
11. My husband is from Colombia, South America. I call him my import. He is my soulmate and I truly believe that God created us for one another.
12. We only have one car. It sucks. I'm waiting for my fairy godmother to come and turn a pumpkin into a minivan.
13. I am a true Gemini: One day I'm a slob, the next I'm an anal-retentive OCD neat freak.
14. I'm addicted to my iPhone. It's like crack.
15. I really, really want to do Yoga. I think it would give me much needed peace and quiet. The problem is that I need to find a time for peace and quiet that I can do Yoga.
16. I want to learn how to knit. I sew, I embroider, but knitting is this unattainable crafty-goal that I just cannot seem to achieve.
17. I'm still considering going back to school to be a nurse. I would want to work in Labor and Delivery. Birth is an amazing, miraculous thing.
18. I had my younger two children completely free of pain medication. And I was induced with pitocin for both deliveries. I rock for being able to do this, and I have no problem admitting that I'm super proud of myself for it!
19. Having children has made me extremely eco-conscious and somewhat crunchy. I want them to have a beautiful world to raise their children in.
20. I cook organic, gluten-free meals for my family since my son has a gluten and wheat allergy. I hate cooking, but I love the look on my children's faces when I make something they enjoy.
21. I cry at night when it's cold outside. I think about those individuals who don't have a warm place to sleep or someone to love them, and it literally makes my heart break.
22. I have zero tolerance for abuses against children and animals.
23. I don't understand how someone can claim to be pro-life but support the death penalty. Think about it.
24. I desperately struggle to be a good mom. I'm not very patient. I'm not very organized. I secretly hate board games and pretend-play. But I love my kids to the very core of my being and I want to be the best for them that I can.
25. If someone were to ask me how I feel right now, I would say extremely content and blessed. I have less materially than I ever have in my life, yet my life is more full than I could have ever imagined possible. 2008 was a difficult year for my family. We lost everything worldly. However, in the process of loss, we gained a peace and fulfillment that can only be achieved through the Grace of God. It literally took having material goods stripped away in order for us to appreciate what is truly important. While it was difficult at the time, it was the greatest gift we could have ever been given.
Love, hugs, and blessings,
The Mama
