I have major writer's block. All I can think about right now is toddler snot and Kappa Delta Keyfobs. Awesome combo, right?!?!
N was slated to have minor eye surgery on Thursday, but the Buggar Monster has taken over our house. I came home from school Tuesday and brought with her a cold. N picked up her cup and took a drink out of it on Wednesday, and by Thursday night, we were swimming in the snot sea. Gross. If there is one thing that I absolutely cannot stand, it's toddler snot running a muck.
In the meantime, I've hit several roadblocks in my KD Bid Day project. The webbing that I purchased was not enough. I thought that five yards would take care of it... clearly my math skills are lacking. I spent Friday night running around town like a madwoman on a mission searching for 1.25" white cotton webbing. You would think in a major metropolitan city that there would be an easily accessible craft store that would have this very simple supply. Nope. No such luck. So I wound up placing an online order followed by an email and a prayer begging for a rush delivery. Monday is MLK Day, so I have no idea if the shop will even be open to get my order and message.
So today's objective - aside from trying to keep L from getting sick and to keep myself from being overtaken by the clear gooey stuff constantly lingering at the top of I and N's lips - is to at least get the bags done so that I can have on piece of the three part project completely finished. I've decided that my embroidery machine isn't a big fan of tear away sticky stabilizer (the stuff I use when I can't hoop a project) which makes everything slow down because I keep needing to re-thread the needles. I've done every fix I can find. It turns out the adhesive from the stabilizer sticks to the needle which makes the thread slide through the eye less smoothly. The thread winds up shredding because of the extra friction. Frustrating.
So that's what's up with me. For my two readers out there, I know this isn't a very exciting post, but it is what it is. Some days are more glamorous than others. Snot just so happens to not be a very glamorous thing.
Love, hugs, and blessings,
The Mama
