Whew! Signs of life?!?!

Hello, Hello!

Yes, I AM Alive and doing quite well!  I know, it has been two years (gasp!) since my last post.

Things have been crazy, good, and busy.

Over the last two years here are few things that have happened:
LittleBit is going to start Pre-K in the fall
The Middle Child successfully finished Kindergarten!
Mini-Me is starting second grade in the fall and is an amazing and avid reader
I've built a very successful consulting and advocacy consulting firm
I'm almost done with graduate school(!!!!!!!!)
The Husband has locked and loaded several successful years under his belt with advertising
We're moving (again... wah, wah.)

In between, my sister graduated from UGA, my brother became a priest, my other brother took his medical boards at the end of his 2nd year of med school at Vanderbilt, we finally got a 2nd car, my grandma became an angel, and I started taking care of my grandfather.  It's been CRAZY  busy but a lot of fun!

So first up - the kiddos - yes, they are all great and yes, there is SO MUCH to write about them!  At the end of the day their antics keep me on my toes and completely exhausted but every second is an adventure.  I'll fill y'all in on each of them individually as I get back into the blogging groove.  But overall, they are great!

Grad School - A year (or so) ago, I decided a master's degree was in order.  So, with a little support from my amazing husband, I crammed for the GRE, applied to grad school, and will be graduating from Kennesaw with my Masters of Science in Conflict Management in December.  Going back to school was insane in and of itself - and without knowing all of the other life-changes that would happen I can't necessarily say I would do it all over again.  BUT, I have met some amazing people and it has been fun to have something that challenges me and encourages me to go beyond my comfort zone.  I love studying (geek, I know!) and really enjoy learning and expanding my personal and professional knowledge. Bla, bla, bla... I'm sure I'll share more on the MSCM program in the days/weeks to come as well!

Moving - Let's just say that moving is my ultimate achilles heel and I loathe it more than anything else on the planet.  Unfortunately, we thought this would be our forever home but as we all know, things don't always work out as WE plan.  So, with a lot of fussing and complaining, we're in the final days of moving our three kids, dogs, and life down from 2500 square feet to 1200 square feet for at least the next year while we get our bearings and figure out what to do next.  Fortunately, we have a basement so much will be stored underneath our feet.  In addition, the house is recently renovated, very clean, and has a beautiful forest-like backyard that backs up to Nancy Creek which is a sweet little oasis inside the Perimeter of Atlanta.  Nancy Creek always makes me think of my mom's mom, so there's a soft spot there.  Plus, you can actually hear the water and the little porch area in the back of the house is amazing.  I think we'll be happy for now and hope we will use this time to regroup and refocus on our little family.

Life has gone incredibly fast lately... the little bitty steps have gone at rapid speed beyond what I have been able to keep up with!  I have so much to share and hope that you will join us on our journey as we group, refocus on family, and learn to appreciate once again how precious each little bitty step can be.
