Back to School!

The oldun's started back to school after a week and three days off for spring break.

They were excited.  I was ecstatic.

When we pulled into the carpool line; I couldn't get them out the door fast enough.

Mini Me's teacher opened the door and said, "did you miss me?" to my oldest.

"Um, well... not really" she replied.  Typical.  Apple, meet the tree.

Almost too quickly I blurted out, "I sure did!!!"

The teacher looked scared.  I waved and got out of there as fast as possible, ignoring the fact that I was still getting a very strange look from the teacher.

Apparently, it's not socially acceptable to be excited that your kids are no longer on break.
