Super Saturday

First of all, my apologies for the shameless use of alliteration.  I clearly have an unfixable propensity for using this literary devise.

Today was one of the best Saturdays we have had in our house for a long, long time.  The weather was gorgeous, the kids were well behaved, and we were able to keep timeouts and rivalries to a minimum!

The day began with mini pancakes and a little Dave Matthews Band on Pandora.  I don't know about you, but this is the IDEAL start to any morning in my opinion!

Next, I got to hang out with my sister and visited my friend and her adorable new baby girl, Daphne.  If the name alone isn't enough to make you smile you must be related to the Grinch himself!  Daphne is not only an adorable name, but she's also an absolute cutie pie!!!  My ovaries screamed at me, but I was able to calmly remind them about our desire to visit Disney World before the kids are 60.  I think it kept them in check from this baby attack, at least for the time being.

The day ended with a bucket of golf balls at the driving range,  an absolutely delicious dinner at Uncle Julio's, and finally walk through Barnes and Noble with The Husband.  Date night is a rare and treasured occurrence at our house.  With three kids under the age of four, any meal that doesn't involve chicken fingers, applesauce, and ranch dressing is a sacred event.  It was so nice to have uninterrupted, adult conversation for a few hours.  While it may not have been in our financial budget for this week, it was definitely needed and appreciated!!!  I am so thankful to be married to a man that I love more each day than the day before, and that each morning brings new opportunity and possibility.

As we look forward to next week, I am hopeful for sunny skies, the exit of runny noses, and an abundance of new adventures.  I hope to have lots of funny stories and interesting tales to share with you as well.  In the meantime, best wishes for a peaceful Saturday night for you and the ones you love!
