What A Day!

Today I took N to the allergist. We've been eating gluten free for a few months now, and the issues with his skin and tummy just don't seem to be clearing up like I would like for them to.

Using a referral from a friend, I found a wonderful allergist at Allergy and Asthma of Atlanta.

After battling an hour and a half of traffic, we arrived at the office. Our 30 minute wait to see the doctor made for a very energetic almost two year old. While we were going over N's medical history, symptoms, etc., he managed to fall off of a chair and slam his head into the floor. At first, I wasn't worried, but about five minutes later, he looked up at me and his eyes glazed over and his head became floppy. That was enough for me.

I scooped him and our belongings up and we ran over to the emergency room. The doctor we were seeing was absolutely WONDERFUL and even carried him through the parking lot as we crossed from the medical building to the children's hospital. He helped us get seen quickly before heading back to his practice.

Thankfully, N man is just fine. He scared the C.R.A.P. out of me, has a small bump on his forehead, but otherwise seems to be okay.

I decided to personally go back up to the office after we left the ER and thank the doctor. We wound up crossing paths in the hallway, and he asked if we wanted to finish the visit. So we did.

It turns out N does not have any food allergies; however, we have been referred to a GI specialist to deal with his poo poo issues.

Just another day in the life of The Mama.

Love, hugs, and blessings,
The Mama
